2 Days Samburu National Reserve Safari

Day 1 Nairobi – Samburu
We pick you from your Nairobi Hotel at 7.00AM Drive through the central highlands where you can see coffee and tea plantations. On clear days you will be able to see the Aberdare Ranges and the snow peak of Mount Kenya. Have a stopover at the equator for a photo op. Drive on past Archers Post arriving Samburu at 1.00 PM.

You shall arrive at Samburu Ashnil Luxury Tented Camp to a warm welcome drink. Check in at the camp before proceeding to the dining hall for lunch. Have a short rest in your luxury tent before proceeding on an afternoon game drive. In the late afternoon return to the camp to freshen up before dinner and overnight at Samburu Ashnil Luxury Tented Camp.

Day 2: Full Day Samburu National Reserve
You have a full day viewing Samburu’s unique wildlife. After breakfast proceed on a game drive in the Buffalo Springs National Reserve where you can spot the endangered reticulated giraffe that can only be found at this park. View the thin blue legged stripped gravy zebras, Somali ostrich, the Beisa Oryx, antelope and the long necked gerenuk gazelles as they stand on 2 feet to feed on the tall acacia trees. Return to the camp for lunch before heading out in the late afternoon for a game drive. Return to the camp at sun set for dinner and overnight. In between game drives you may visit a Samburu village to learn of the Samburu tribe culture and traditions.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve – Nairobi city
Head for a pre-breakfast game drive to try spot Samburu’s leopards, wild dogs and lions. You also see cape buffalos and many elephants. Return to the camp for breakfast. Check out from Samburu Ashnil Luxury Tented Camp the late morning and leave on a game drive for Nairobi arriving at 16.30 HRS where your driver will drop you off at your hotel. Safari Enquiry
